Who said the constitution doesn’t give the president much power?
That video is um..interesting to say the least. Its hypocrisy i tell ya. Ok I will explain.
Many of these so called czars (who gave em this title anyway?) hold position that were originally advisers and appointees (not called czars) by the former president Bush. These position (the czar title is bogus they have real positions that say nothing about czars) would include the, AIDS czar, Drug czar, Faith-based czar (this is that God Czar he was talking about), Intelligence czar, Regulatory Czar, Science Czar, Sudan Czar, TARP/Bailout Czar, Mideast Peace Czar, Terrorism Czar, Afghanistan czar, and Weapons Czar.
Another important thing, of the 3 dozen or so “czars” on this list, nine were confirmed by the Senate: Technology and Logistics Ashton Carter (“Weapons Czar”), Deputy Interior Secretary David J. Hayes (“California Water Czar”), OMB Deputy Director Jeff Zients (“Government Performance Czar”), Director of National Intelligence Adm. Dennis Blair (“Intelligence Czar”), OMB Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs Cass Sunstein (“Regulatory Czar”), Director of National Drug Control Policy Gil, Kerlikowske (“Drug Czar”), Treasury Assistant Secretary for Financial Stability Herb Allison (“TARP Czar”), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology and OSTP Director John Holdren (“Science Czar”), and OSTP Associate Director Aneesh Chopra (“Technology Czar”).
It is very obvious that republicans have supported these positions in the past why not support them now? There were no objections to president Bush appointing all his “czars”. These are merely people who have been appointed by the president to advise or oversee certain issues due to their experience and/or expertise. This video sounds like some more political rhetoric being spewed by one side of or the other.
I am not dogging the republicans but honestly this is some ridiculous propaganda to add tension to an already stressful situation for our country. I truly believe that misinformation such as this is hurting America by dividing us and blinding us to the fundamental issues. I am not naive yes democrats do it to. Come on America you are knit picking when you should have been examining that last man that was behind the big desk in that big white house doing who knows what.
